The Five Content Pillars Every Med Spa Should Post
Why aesthetic practices run out of ideas, and the five buckets that keep a feed balanced between educating and booking.
Most med spa feeds drift into one of two failure modes. Either everything is a promotion, which trains followers to wait for a discount, or everything is education, which builds an audience that never books.
Five pillars keep the balance. Aim for a rough weekly mix rather than a rigid rule.
1. Education
Explain treatments, options, timelines and aftercare in plain language. This is what earns saves and shares, and it is what makes a consultation shorter and easier.
2. Proof
Show the work: consistent before and after images with written permission, a patient's question answered honestly, or a walkthrough of how you plan a treatment. Proof is not only photos. A clear explanation of your judgement is proof of expertise.
3. Personality and behind the scenes
People book a provider, not a device. Show the team, the room, the process, the small decisions. This pillar carries a lot of weight for practices in competitive markets where every clinic offers the same treatments.
4. Offers and calls to action
Say plainly what is available, what it costs or what is included, and how to book. One clear offer post per week is usually enough, and it works better when the other four pillars have already done the persuading.
5. Local and community
Your patients live within a few miles of you. Local events, neighbouring businesses, seasonal conditions in your city and community involvement all signal that you are their practice, not a generic clinic.
Putting the mix on a week
A workable default for four posts a week: one education, one proof, one personality, one offer, with local content rotating into whichever slot suits the season. Stories can be lighter and more frequent, and Reels usually perform best on education and behind the scenes.
Why the mix matters more than the volume
Posting more often does not fix an unbalanced feed. A practice posting three balanced times a week will out-book a practice posting daily promotions. The pillars are what turn a feed into a path from curiosity to a booked consultation.
Doing it without the planning overhead
MedSpa Planner assigns a pillar to every item in the month it builds, so the balance is designed rather than hoped for, and you can see at a glance whether next month leans too hard on offers.
